We don’t get to choose what our emotional body needs to express and move through. There is an intelligence here. If you make a conscious decision to not feel anger, or sad, or any emotion that has been labeled negative and “bad,” you will equally lock yourself out of your joy, happiness, pleasure, truest desires, and healthy states of being.
When we hit a sensation, a big emotion that has a strong authority, we can get confused and close off from ourself, and the world around us. Our brain takes over, and tells a story about the sensation, putting ourselves back into old belief systems and trauma patterns.
Learn to fully embody what is wanting to move up and out. Listen to what your emotions are telling you, compost what is ready to release, develop a boundary system and wellness practices that foster nourishment, a resourced nervous system, supportive relationships with yourself and others, authentic joy, happiness, and pleasure.
